The Duke of Edinburgh's Award is an exciting worldwide self-development program available to young people over 14. The Award is a 'leadership in action program', being voluntary, flexible, noncompetitive, balanced, progressive, challenging and most of all enjoyable. It provides an opportunity for young people to achieve personal excellence and build self-esteem, self-confidence, self-reliance, self-motivation and respect for others via their involvement in the areas of service, skills, adventurous journeys and physical recreation.

The program has 4 sections: Service; Skill; Physical Recreation; and Adventurous Journey. If you develop your ability in all of these areas, you graduate with flying colours and can puff your chest up with pride, knowing you have achieved one of the most prestigious International Awards available for 14 to 25 year olds.

At Dripstone, we are keen to develop many more outdoor education opportunities for students and have an enthusiastic and experienced team, ready to help you immerse yourself in wilderness.
